Paradip: Indian Oil Corporation’s (IOCL) Paradip-Haldia crude oil pipeline was ruptured near the IOCL Township in Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district on Thursday.
A portion of the pipeline ruptured causing outflow of the crude oil towards the nearby farmlands. Hundreds of litres of crude oil got wasted due to the mishap, as per reports.
On being informed, the fire service personnel immediately reached the spot and took measures to stop the leakage.
Meanwhile, the movement of vehicles on a road near the spot of the incident has been restricted to avoid any untoward incident, reports added.
