ITI Berhampur, MKCG Medical College Join Hands for Maintenance of Hospital Infrastructure

Berhampur: In a major development that will have a significant impact on the efficiency of South Odisha’s biggest health center, the Berhampur ITI has joined hands with the MKCG Medical College and Hospital for quick maintenance of its infrastructure.

The two prominent institutes of the state joined hands to provide better infrastructure facilities at the medical college hospital. As per the agreement, hospital beds, stretchers, wheel chairs, fans, stabilizers and other electrical and non electrical equipments of the hospital that are damaged and waiting for maintenance, will be repaired and maintained by the ITI. This will help in quickly making them available for the use in the hospital.

For this, the ITI Berhampur has constituted a team of 20 students that is well equipped with portable welding machines and tool kit boxes. The team has already started repairing of those items as per the requirement of the MKCG MCH team.

This is a win-win situation for both the ITI students and the medical college. The students will gain practical knowledge on solving the real life problems and the medical college getting quick response to its requirements. The students will visit all the departments of the hospital and see where maintenance work is required.

According to Dr. Rajat Kumar Panigrahi, Principal, ITI Berhampur, the skills gained by the students will really help them understand the situation at the ground level and will also benefit the society.

Meanwhile, the MKCG MCH team has highly appreciated the efforts of the ITI students.
