Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday apprehended a government high school clerk for allegedly taking bribe from a retired teacher.
Maheswar Samal, Clerk of a Govt. High School, Kabirpur, Jajpur has been nabbed by the Vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.4000 from a retired teacher to prepare his pending arrear bills and pension papers following his retirement .
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS case no 34/2023 U/s-7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is in progress, the Vigilance said.
