New Delhi: Senior JD(U) Harivansh Narayan Singh has been chosen as the Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha today.
The Rajya Sabha cleared his name with a voice vote.
BJP President JP Nadda had moved the proposal to elect Harivansh as the deputy chairman and his motion was adopted and later, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu announced his name.
Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal has supported the candidature of Harivansh Narayan Singh as the Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
