New Delhi: The Union HRD Ministry’s National Testing Agency has announced the results of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) – Mains on Friday.
As many as nine candidates have scored a perfect 100 in the JEE – Mains, while Sourabh Soumyakanta Das emerged topper from Odisha.
The toppers for the engineering entrance exam are Nishant Agarwal (Delhi), Nisarg Chadha (Gujarat), Divyanshu Agarwal (Haryana), Landa Jitendra (Andhra Pradesh), Thadavarthi Vishnu Sri Sai Sankar (Andhra Pradesh), Akhil Jain (Rajasthan), Parth Dwivedi (Rajasthan), Rongala Arun Siddardha (Telangana) and Chagari Koushal Kumar Reddy (Telangana).
Sourabh Soumyakanta Das is topper from Odisha scoring 99.9924070 percentile in the state-wise category rank in the test.
A total of 8.69 lakh students, including 6.04 lakh male and 2.64 lakh female and three transgenders, had appeared for the exam conducted in six shifts from January 7-9.
While JEE-Mains is conducted for admission to engineering colleges across the country, JEE-Advanced is for the ones seeking admission to IITs. It is mandatory to clear JEE-Mains to be eligible to appear for JEE-Advanced.
