New Delhi: The JEE Main and NEET 2020 examinations have been postponed till September in the wake of prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country, said Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal today.
The JEE examination will be conducted between September 1 to 6, JEE advanced exam will be held on September 27 and National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) examination will be held on September 13.
Announcing the new dates, the HRD Minister said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind safety of students.
Earlier, the medical entrance exam NEET was scheduled to held on July 26, the JEE (Mains), for admission in engineering colleges, was scheduled from July 18-23.
The JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), was scheduled for August 23.
