Bhubaneswar: Taking a step further towards improving air connectivity of Jharsuguda with other cities, Indigo airlines will start its maiden flight services from Jharsuguda to Kolkata today. As per reports, the airlines is going to commence Jharsuguda-Kolkata flight today with an ATR-72 plane. The flight will take off at 5. 50 pm daily at Kolkata and land at Jharsuguda at 7.25 pm. In return, the flight will leave Jharsuguda at 7.55 pm and reach Kolkata at 9.20 pm.
Likewise, flight service to Bengaluru will also start on the 15th of November. The new flight from Bengaluru will take off at 10.15 am and reach Jharsuguda at 12.20 pm. In return, the flight will take off at Jharsuguda at 12.50 pm and land at Bengaluru at 2.55 pm.
The Bengaluru flight will be a 180 seat Airbus-320 plane. This service will immensely benefit the people of western Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Currently, the Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda has flight services to Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
