Juvenile Convicted in NDPS Case for First Time in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A juvenile was convicted in a narcotic drugs seizure case for the first time in Odisha.
The Court of Juvenile Justice Board, Khordha, on Friday convicted the juvenile under section 21(c) NDPS Act, 1985 in STF PS Case No. 28/2021, as per reports.

The juvenile, who was accused in the seizure of contraband brown sugar weighing 1.268 kg in the year 2021, was found guilty and sent to Special Home, Berhampur for a period of three years.

The juvenile will be provided reformative service including education, skill development, counseling, behavior modification therapy, psychiatric support and treatment for the period of stay in the Special Home.
