Malkangiri: The District Administration of Malkangiri has felicitated Karama Muduli, the Bonda PVTG girl who topped the district in the recently declared +2 Commerce Examination results.
Along with Karama, the second topper Pramila Nayak of Government SSD High School, Govindapalli, has also been felicitated in the presence of Sub-Collector, District Welfare Officer and other officials.
Karama Muduli, a girl from the tribal-dominated Bonda Ghati area in Malkangiri district is an inspiration for others. She has proved how hard work and strong determination can overcome all obstacles and enable one to come with flying colors.
Hailing from a poor famer’s family, Karama Muduli has become the district topper in the Plus Two Commerce exam, the result of which was recently declared by the Council Of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha.
Karama’s family members did not want her to continue her studies because of acute poverty and financial constrains. Besides, they had a strong notion that education has no meaning for a girl.
But a determined Karama rose to face the challenges. She studied at a government higher secondary school and gave her best.
She has a dream to excel in life and create her self-identity in the society. Her strong will power and self-determination has paid off. She is now an example for others.
Like Karma Muduli, Pramila Nayak has got the second position in the district in the Commerce stream.
There is no dearth of talent in tribal-dominated Malkangiri district. The successful intervention of the State Government through various schemes to encourage education among tribal communities has been playing a key role in nurturing those talents.
