Kartik Pandian Hits Back At Opposition Leaders For Spreading False Narratives On Puri Mathas

Bhubaneswar: Senior Biju Janata Dal leader and 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian has hit back on the opposition leaders for spreading false narratives on the Mathas of Puri. In a video released on Instagram, Kartik Pandian has said that “For ages, Mathas have had an organic connection with Jagannath culture. Over the years, a lot commercial establishments started growing around the Mathas disrupting the blissful experience and connection with the Jagannatha temple.

Our Hon’ble CM Naveen Patnaik cleared up the unwanted establishments following due process.

He restored the Mathas and revived the organic link between Shree Mandir, Mathas and devotees.

History will remember HCM for this divine work. Mathas are now rejuvenated and can breathe afresh.”

Giving a befitting reply to the opposition’s false allegations that Mathas were destroyed during the Parikrama Project works, in the video, Kartik Pandian said that “No Matha has been destroyed in Puri. On the contrary, the Chief Minister has made efforts to sanctify the Mathas and temple surroundings. Giving the example of Mangu Matha, Kartik Pandian said “There was a toilet on the top of Mangu Matha.” Similarly, there was a shoe shop next to it. The sanctity of the Matha has been restored by removing the toilet and the shoe shop from that place. He questioned how the restoration of a holy place like Mangu Math, where Guru Nanak worshiped Lord Jagannath, is a dishonor of the history and tradition.”
