Bhubaneswar: A senior clerk at Mahakalapada Tahasil in Kendrapara district has been sentenced to two years jail following his conviction in a bribery case.
The clerk has been identified as Madhaba Chandra Acharya.
Acharya, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Spl. Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack for taking bribe, was convicted to 2 years jail and fine.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for dismissal of Acharya from service following his conviction.
