Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Keonjhar district has bagged the prestigious Kayakalp Awards 2021 under the Central Government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in different categories for ensuring cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation at the public health facilities.
While the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Ghatgaon and Primary Health Centre (PHC) Bhuinpur at Champua have been adjudged as winners in the CHC and PHC categories respectively, the Bhanda CHC and PHC Deogaon, Ghasipura have been declared runners-up in the same categories.
Besides, 8 CHCs, 2 SDHs, 22 PHCs, 1 UPHC and 4 Subcentres of Keonjhar district have received commendation awards for maintenance of cleanliness, hygiene & creating sustainable practices in public health facilities.
Expressing happiness for the achievement, Keonjhar Collector Ashish Thakare said that the administration has been taking consistent efforts to improve the Healthcare Facilities in district.
“We have been taking consistent efforts to improve the Healthcare Facilities in Keonjhar District. This is part of the 5T framework so that better service delivery can happen to our citizens”, he said.
