Puri: Odisha fire services personnel along with ODRAF teams are continuing their efforts the douse the fire that broke out at the Laxmi Market Complex in Badadanda in Puri yesterday. About eight fire engines are in service and modern equipments are being used to douse the fire. But, due to dense fog, the fire could not be controlled. The market complex was housing more than 40 shops and a hotel. While nobody is injured, property worth more than Rs 7 crore is said to have destroyed in the fire.
Odisha Minister of State for Home, Tusharkanti Behera today reviewed the situation at the spot and said the fire is expected to be controlled any time soon. State Fire DG Santosh Upadhyaya also visited the spot and reviewed the situation.
