Bhubaneswar: Senior Biju Janata Dal leader and Energy Minister Pratap Deb has said that Khandapada MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik should resign first and then think of criticizing the government.
This comes after BJD leaders Arun Sahoo and Atanu Sabyasachi criticized Soumya for his anti party activities. Pratap has said that, although Soumya is an MLA from Biju Janata Dal, he has been criticizing the party and the Government. If he wants to criticize, he should first resign from his post and party and then do so. He said that, the Chief Minister has clarified about sending the 5T Secretary on visits to districts and there should not be any confusion and no question of criticizing.
Pratap has said that it has become a practice of Soumya Patnaik to blackmail the party and government through false criticism. He is breaking the discipline of the party. He should resign first from the party and then write his editorials, Pratap said.
