Berhampur: A liquid medical oxygen plant will be operational at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur soon.
The installation of the plant has already started at the hospital. It will be operational very soon, informed Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange in a Twitter post.
The 20,000-litre liquid oxygen plant will immensely benefit the critical patients admitted at the hospital.
Once the plant becomes operational, there would be no need to carry oxygen cylinders to the patients. The life-saving oxygen will be supplied directly to their bedside through pipes connected to the plant.
Meanwhile, a dedicated COVID-19 helpdesk has been set up in front of the casualty of the MKCG to assist the people on corona-related issues.
