Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area is likely to form over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood around November 26, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
“A Cyclonic Circulation is likely to emerge over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood around November 25.
Under its influence, a Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood around 26th November,” the IMD said.
The system is likely to move west northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal & adjoining Andaman Sea around November 27, it added.
“ Scattered to broken low and medium clouds with embedded intense to very intense convection lay over southwest Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu & east Sri Lanka coasts. Scattered low and medium clouds with embedded moderate to intense convection lay over westcentral Bay of Bengal & Andaman sea and isolated weak to moderate convection lay over rest of Bay of Bengal,” said the IMD.
