Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department has said that a low pressure area is likely to form over south-east and adjoining East-central Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours. It is likely to move west-north-westwards and concentrate into a depression by 22nd morning over central Bay of Bengal. It is very likely to intensify further into a cyclonic storm over west-central Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 48 hours. Under the influence of the system Odisha is likely to get rains from 22nd of this month.
The IMD has issued a warning for the fishermen and said under the influence of the anticipated system squally wind with surface wind speed reaching 45 to 55 kmph gusting to 65kmph over deep sea areas of west-central adjoining North Bay of Bengal from 22nd October 2022 and along & off Odisha coast from 23 October 2022.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into deep sea areas of west central adjoining North Bay of Bengal from 22nd and along and Off Odisha Coast from 23rd October 2022 till further notice. Fishermen whoever in deep sea area are advised to return to coast by 22″ October 2022.
