Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area is likely to be formed over the northern Bay of Bengal and the adjacent coastal regions of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal on Friday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
A cyclonic circulation reaching up to 7.6 km above mean sea level, which tilts southwestwards with height, is likely to move west-northwestwards across Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand in the next two days, the IMD said.
However, the IMD has not issued any forecasts concerning the possible effects of the low-pressure system on Odisha.
