New Delhi: The Supreme Court has ordered for floor test in Maharashtra Assembly by tomorrow 5 PM.
Supreme Court’s three-judge bench, headed by Justice N V Ramana has pronouncement the judgment on the petition jointly filed by the three parties NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena against the appointment of Debendra Fadnavis as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
The Supreme Court has directed that the floor test has to be conducted by a Protem speaker and not by a regular speaker and the only agenda of the House will be to conduct the floor test. It has also said that the proceedings have to be completed before 5 PM and there will be no secret ballot and all proceedings have to be videographed.
Meanwhile, Kapil Sibal appearing for the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance has mentioned before the Supreme Court to restrain the Fadnavis Government from taking any important policy decisions.
