Mamata Banerjee Meets CM Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here on Thursday.

Mamata, who is on a three-day visit to Odisha, paid a courtesy visit to the Odisha Chief Minister at Naveen Niwas.

The Odisha CM welcomed Banerjee with presenting Sri Anga Vastra of Mahaprabhu. Naveen also presented her a replica of three chariots. He also presented a filigree work and sweet ‘Chennapoda’ to the West Bengal CM.

The West Bengal CM presented a Shawl to Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik specially prepared by Biswa Bangla. She also paid respect to Biju Babu and Gyan Patnaik by presenting A ZAMDANI Saree.

During the meeting, the two Chief Ministers discussed a range of developmental issues and also the proposed guesthouse for West Bengal tourists in Puri, as per sources.

Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian was present during the discussion.

Earlier on Wednesday, the West Bengal Chief Minister had visited Jagannath temple in Puri and offered prayers to the deities.

She had also made a field visit to a proposed site identified by the Odisha Government for construction of a guest house for accommodation of West Bengal tourists visiting Jagannath Dham.
