Bhubaneswar: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Tuesday reached Bhubaneswar and went straight to Puri. She is on a four day visit to Odisha.
Odisha Parliamentary Affairs minister Bikram Keshari Arukha welcomed her at the airport. Mamata is in Odisha to attend the Eastern Zonal Council meeting to be held in Bhubaneswar on the 28th of this month. She is also expected to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during her visit.
Mamata’s attendance at the Eastern Zonal Council meeting assumes significance in light of her opposition to the CAA. Earlier also confronting the BJP Government, she had skipped many meetings of the Niti Aayog and several others convened by the Center.
