Berhampur: The man, who threatened to kill SDJM Berhampur with knife in courtroom, was taken into police custody on Monday.
The accused has been identified as Bhagban Sahu, a resident of Jemadevi Sahi in Old Berhampur area.
When SDJM Berhampur was in her chamber attending her work, Sahu suddenly went near her chair and put a knife on her neck and threatened to kill her.
The shocking incident took place at around 2.30 pm on Monday.
Her staff and lawyers present there immediately over powered him and caught hold of him. The police took him under custody immediately. The SDJM is safe, informed Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
A case has been registered against the accused at BN Pur Police Station, he said.
Already four cases are pending against Sahu. He was previously arrested and is currently out in bail.
The investigation is underway in the SDJM Berhampur attack case, the SP added.
