Bhubaneswar: While the low pressure area over North Odisha and adjoining areas has weakened, the associated cyclonic circulation is persistent over North Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand areas. Under its influence, many districts of North and interior Odisha are likely to get heavy rains in the next week.
The Indian Meteorological Department has stated that light to moderate rains or thundershowers are very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha during the next five days with heavy and heavy to very heavy spells predicted at places. It has also issued Orange and Yellow alerts. While Orange warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore districts for 29th July, Yellow Warning has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Nuapada and Nawarangapur.
