Bhubaneswar: The maximum day temperature has crossed 40 degree Celsius for the first time this year in Odisha.
The highest temperature has been recorded from Baripada town in Mayurbhanj district.
According to the Metrological Centre, Bhubaneswar, Baripada recorded the maximum day temperature of 40 degree Celsius on Monday.
Jharsuguda and Sambalpur recorded 39.6 degree Celsius each by 2.30 pm. The temperature hit 39 degree in Bhubaneswar and Chandabali.
