Mayurbhanj: Five LAMPCS Officers Convicted in Corruption Case, Sentenced to 3 Yrs RI

Baripada: Five LAMPCS officers in Mayurbhanj district have been convicted in a corruption case and have been sentenced to three years rigorous imprisonment.

A Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada convicted the officers in the corruption case.

The accused officers have been identified as Sidheswar Barik, Ex-Managing Director (Retired), Baisingha LAMPCS, Benudhar Nath, Ex-Branch Manager (Retired) of Gadadeulia Branch of Baisingha LAMPCS, Harihar Das, Ex-Branch Manager (Retired) of Patalipur of Baisingha LAMPCS, Ashok Kumar Mohapatra, Ex-Branch Manager (Retired) of Purunia Branch of Baisingha LAMPCS and Mukunda Prasad Das, Branch Manager of Baisingha Branch of Baisingha LAMPCS.
They have also been fined Rs 10,000 in the case.

The LAMPCS officers were charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance for showing undue official favor to ineligible loans by manipulating the records and inserting their names in the waiver list under the DW & DR (Debt Waiver / Debt Relief) Scheme for which the Government sustained loss of money.
