Bhubaneswar: A junior assistant at the office of Block Education Officer (BEO) in Mayurbhanj district was arrested for allegedly taking bribe from a retired headmaster.
Bikram Behera, Jr. Assistant, BEO office of Badasahi block in Mayurbhanj district has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.15,000 from retired head master for preparation of bill towards release of arrear salary.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at the locations of Behera, the vigilance said.
In this connection, Balasore Vigilance PS has registered a case against the junior assistant.
