Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance sleuths on Monday arrested Kishore Kumar Behera, Soil Conservation Overseer, Bisoi Block in Mayurbhanj district for accepting bribe for processing muster roll of labourers engaged in execution of farm ponds under MGNREG Scheme
Behera was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.22,000 from a complainant for processing muster roll of labourers engaged in execution of farm ponds under MGNREG Scheme.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of Behera and seized.
Following trap, simultaneous searches are going on at 3 locations of Behera from DA angle.
In this connection, Balasaore Vigilance PS case has been registered. Investigation in progress against the accused Soil Conservation Overseer, the Vigilance stated.
