Bhubaneswar: A delegation of the Munda Samaj led by School & Mass Education, and Revenue Minister Sudam Marndi has submitted a memorandum to the State Government seeking inclusion of the Mundari language in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution.
The delegation held a detailed discussion with Chief Advisor of CM Naveen Patnaik R. Balakrishnan and Commissioner-Cum-Secretary of ST & SC Development Department Roopa Roshan Sahoo to recommend the proposal to the Central Government by the State Government.
The State Government has assured to take positive steps in this regard soon, as per sources.
