Berhampur: Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College & Hospital (MKCG MCH), the largest state-run hospital in south Odisha, has started the telemedicine services for the patients.
This has been informed by Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) Commissioner Chakravarti Singh Rathore.
The move comes amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in Ganjam district.
The telemedicine service will facilitate remote treatment of patients without requiring them to visit the hospital for minor ailment amid the corona pandemic situation.
The patients can consult the doctors through phone and WhatsApp between 9AM to 5PM from Monday to Saturday. The contact numbers are 7064588070 and 8260727171.
However, the casualty department of MKCG will remain open 24×7 for emergency medical problems.
Earlier this week, the BeMC conducted a webinar to guide the diabetic people about the various preventive measures to avoid COVID-19 infection.
