Bhubaneswar: Continuing his visits to hospitals of different backward districts for the third day in a row, Secretary to Chief Minister, Transformation and Initiatives (5T), VK Pandian along with Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy and National Health Mission (NHM) Director Shalini Pandit today visited District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) at Phulbani in Kandhamal district.
The top bureaucrats leading front, interacted with the patients and their relatives at the hospital and enquired about the facilities and distribution of medicines.
He also held brief meetings with district administration officials and doctors during the tour. They are also likely to visit some more districts today.
The visit was a part of ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on October 2. The senior officials are touring government-run healthcare institutions to get grassroots-level feedback from the people.
On Wednesday, Pandian, Pandit and Finance Secretary Ashok Meena were on a tour to Koraput, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri with the same mission.
