Berhampur: A home quarantined person in Berhampur, who violated the guidelines, has been detected with the help of an innovative mobile application.
The app – SWASTHYA – is helping the Ganjam administration to monitor people in home quarantine, informed District Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.
Based on the data received from the app, one person in Berhampur violating home quarantine rules has been shifted to institutional quarantine, he added.
The mobile app has been developed by Teceads Solutions in association with Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC), ARCHITO Design Studio & KIIT TBI.
It is a unique and unified platform designed to facilitate the administration in handling and tackling emergency response to any critical situations swiftly and efficiently, said BeMC Commissioner Chakravarti Singh Rathore.
Using the app, the administration can monitor those in home quarantine, with the help of their geo-location and can digitally restrict their movement within a certain perimeter (home boundary).
There is also another unique feature in which the quarantined user needs to send a ‘Live Photo’ when the administration rings his/her smartphone, to ensure that the quarantined user doesn’t leave the phone inside home and goes out which is like keeping a check. In case the application is deleted or location sharing is turned off automatic call will made to his/her mobile phone, says Teceads Solutions.
The mobile app facilitates emergency response, digitalized health monitoring, Quarantine geo-fencing, inventory management for institutional facilities.
The app is being installed in the phone of each quarantined person, thus enabling the health department of the district to collect relevant data about the quarantined people and keep track on them.
If the quarantined people will show any symptoms of COVID-19, then the health department will reach them within a span of time with the help of this app.
