Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader and four-time MLA from Keonjhar Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday took oath as the new Chief Minister of Odisha.
Majhi was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Raghubar Das at the grand swearing-in ceremony held at Janata Maidan in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, JP Nadda and several Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled States.
Keeping his words, BJD President Naveen Patnaik attended the swearing-in ceremony of the Council of Ministers.
Apart from Majhi, two Deputy CMs Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida also took the oath of office.
