Bhubaneswar: Good news for the parents of those children who are studying in government-run schools in the State.
The ruling Biju Janata Dal in its State Council meeting held on Monday has adopted a proposal of reservation for the students passed out from government-run schools in engineering and medical colleges in the State.
BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has also accepted this proposal in its State Council meeting.
The move is expected to increase the enrollment of the students in the government-run schools.
Other important proposl which was approved by the party president was the survey of backword classes. Hailing the proposal, he said, it would be a milestone in achiving social justice.
He also promised to implement some of the proposals for women empowerment.
