Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said that Odisha has set an example for the world in eradicating Malaria with its successful intervention for combating malaria under the DAMaN initiative. In a tweet he has call upon everyone to pledge to further intensify the efforts to eliminate the disease.
It is noteworthy here that, between 2018-20, Odisha has achieved a 90 percent reduction in Malaria cases. It has been successfully using a community-driven programme to spread awareness on Malaria prevention, conduct rapid testing and quickly distribute medicines.
