Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has called upon all public servants to maintain the highest standards of probity and integrity, and rededicate themselves to serve the people in true spirit of service.
In a message on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week, the Chief Minister has appealed to the people of Odisha to join the fight against corruption, and extend whole-hearted support to the efforts of the Government in bringing about transparency and accountability in public domain.
“Corruption, in its various manifestations, is a major obstacle to growth and development of society. It adversely impacts the most downtrodden and the needy, and deprives them from getting their due entitlements from the development and welfare programmes of the Government”, the CM said.
He further said, “ My Government has been following a “Zero Tolerance” approach to corruption, and is taking stringent actions against those indulging in corruption.”.

The Chief Minister also congratulated Odisha Vigilance for its commendable performance in combating corruption.
He said that he expects the Vigilance to further intensify its anti-corruption drive by leveraging advancements in modern technology and best practices in the discipline.
The CM urged all work together towards the goal of a corruption-free society, and commit to build a new, empowered Odisha.
