Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the demise of legendary playback singer Vani Jairam.
The Chief Minister expressed that he was saddened to learn about the passing away of renowned singer Vani Jairam. Her legacy of singing in many popular Odia movies will always be remembered, the CM said.
ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ପ୍ରଚ୍ଛଦପଟ ଗାୟିକା ବାଣୀ ଜୟରାମଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ଅନେକ ଲୋକପ୍ରିୟ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଚଳଚିତ୍ରରେ କଣ୍ଠଦାନ କରି ସେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠା କରିଥିବା କୀର୍ତ୍ତିମାନ ସର୍ବଦା ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ ରହିବ। ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି।

Vani Jairam, the acclaimed singer who was announced to receive the Padma Bhushan – the third-highest civilian award in India recently, has passed away. She died at her house on Haddows Road, Nungambakkam in Chennai. She was 78 years old.
