Naveen Congratulates Indian Tennis Players Rutuja Bhosale and Rohan Bopanna on Winning Gold in Mixed Doubles at Asian Games

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Indian tennis players Rutuja Bhosale and Rohan Bopanna on winning gold in Mixed Doubles event at Asian Games 2023.

“Congratulate Indian tennis players Rutuja Bhosale and Rohan Bopanna on winning gold in Mixed Doubles event at Asian Games. May they continue to achieve new heights in their sporting careers and make the nation proud. Wish them the best for future events”, the CM posted on his ‘X’ platform.


The second-seeded Indian pair defeated Chinese Taipei’s ninth-seeded Tsung-hao Huang and Liang En-shuo 2-6, 6-3, 10-4 in the final in Hangzhou. This is the second medal for Rohan Bopanna in the Asian Games as he had won the men’s doubles gold at Jakarta in 2018. For Rutuja Bhosle, it is her maiden medal at the games.
