Naveen Congratulates Odisha FC on Winning Maiden Hero Super Cup Title

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Odisha FC on winning their maiden Hero Super Cup title beating Bengaluru FC 2-1 in a nail biting final game at the EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode, Kerala.

“Congratulate Odisha FC on winning their maiden Hero Super Cup title beating Bengaluru FC 2-1 in a nail biting game. May they continue their winning momentum to bring laurels for Odisha. Wish the team all the best for future”, the CM tweeted.

Star talisman Diego Mauricio struck twice in the first-half to hand the lead to the Juggernauts. The Blues were left chasing the game and found reply through a Sunil Chhetri penalty strike late in the second-half but fell short of time to mount an equaliser. Clifford Miranda also made history, becoming the first Indian coach to win the Hero Super Cup.
