Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday congratulated Odisha Police for advancing to Panasput and Gurasetu in Swabhiman Anchal, a Maoist stronghold in Malkangiri district.
The successful reclamation of left wing heartland will reassure people of the region and facilitate accelerated socio-economic development, the CM expressed.

Recently, the State police and the BSF have set up a COB (Company Operating Base) at Gurasetu, Swabhiman Anchal.
This along with Panasput was being used by Maoists as their ideological headquarters until recently.
Now, the people of the area will feel more secure.
