Naveen Dedicates 142 Transformed High Schools

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated 142 transformed High Schools under the ambitious High School Transformation Program as part of the 5T initiative of the State Government.

The schools have been transformed with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities, such as new buildings, science laboratories, smart classrooms, e-library cum reading rooms, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructures.

Among the 142 schools dedicated today, 67 are in Sundargarh, 30 in Cuttack, 23 in Balasore, 10 in Kandhamal and 12 in Nabarangpur.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the future of the country is being built in schools. There is a saying that children constitute one-third of our population, but all of our future, the CM said.

The Chief Minister also interacted with the students and parents of the transformed schools.

Under the 5T Initiatives High Schools Transformation program, the State Government is undertaking a massive transformation of the government high schools.

In the first phase a total of 1075 high schools of the state are being transformed.

Earlier, the Chief Minister had dedicated 50 transformed schools in Ganjam District.
