Malkangiri: Amid the campaigning for the ensuing Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections gaining momentum in the state, senior Biju Janata Dal leader Kartik Pandian today visited Kalimela and addressed a huge gathering of people.
Addressing the people at the public meeting, Kartik Pandian said that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik very much loves the tribal brothers and sisters of the state. Malkangiri holds a special place in the heart of the chief minister and loves the district very much. He said that the Naveen engine is enough in the state. He cited the example of the neighboring state where there was a double engine government but there was no peace.
Kalimela, that was once a troubled place, is today peaceful thanks to the single engine of the Naveen Patnaik government. Pandian appealed the people to bless the Jodi Shankha in the ensuing elections.
He said that the Chief Minister has solved all the problems of the people of Malkangiri. Steps have been taken for the development of roads, communication, public health, education and infrastructure. Starting from land rights to development of various temples, ashrams and mosques has been done in the state, he added.
