Berhampur: Biju Janata Dal Supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today filed his nomination papers for the Hinjili Assembly constituency in his home district Ganjam. He filed the Nomination papers at the Sub-Collector’s Office in Chatrapur. This is the sixth time in a row that Naveen is contesting from Hinjili Constituency. Thousands of people gathered near the Sub-collector’s office to welcome their beloved leader.
The BJD Supremo filed four sets of nomination papers with the designated returning officer in Chatrapur. Senior leaders Kartik Pandian, Bikram Keshari Arukh, Chandra Sekhar Sahu, Bhrugu Baxipatra, Ranjita Sahu and all the MLA candidates under Asika Lok Sabha Constituency were present during the nomination filing. Voting for Hinjili Assembly Constituency will take place on 20th May in the second phase polls in Odisha. Prior to his nomination, Naveen visited the Tara Tarini temple and took blessings of the Goddess.
Along with Hinjili, CM Naveen is also contesting from Kantabanji Assembly Constituency in Bolangir district. Both Hinjili and Kantabanji will go for voting on the 20th of May.
