Bhubaneswar: Reiterating his commitment for the development of agriculture and farmers, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik provided financial assistance of Rs 920 crore to the farmers under the flagship Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme on the eve of Akshaya Tritiya and Krushak Divas today.
More than 42 lakh small and marginal farmers in the State are expected to get benefit from the assistance.
The farmers will receive the benefit to their bank accounts directly, through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
