Bhubaneswar: In a bid to transform Odisha into a medical hub, the State Government has decided to appoint more than 2,000 doctors.
Rviewing the health infrastructure in the State Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed officials to appoint over 2,000 doctors, who have completed MBBS and BDS courses, in proposed medical colleges as faculty members and periphery hospitals.
The Odisha Public Service Commission was asked to notify for the appointment of doctors at the earliest, stated a release.
He further directed official concerned in the Health sector in coordination with different departments.
Patnaik also reviewed the ongoing work for five District Headquarters Hospital buildings and infrastructure of new medical colleges that are being setting up.
