Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today thanked the Indian Air Force Monday (IAF) for airlifting personnel and medical equipment in short notice to set up medical lab and other facilities in the State.
The IAF deployed two of its AN-32 cargo aircrafts Monday to airlift 19 personnel and 3500 kgs of medical equipment of ICMR from Tambaram to Bhubaneswar for setting of medical lab and facilities in Odisha.
Expressing happiness over the development, the Odisha CM wrote on his twitter handle, “Thank @IAF_MCC for airlifting personnel and medical equipment in short notice to set up medical lab and other facilities in Odisha. The expeditious arrival of equipment will strengthen Odisha’s fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

The task was in support of ICMR to facilitate & bring up testing lab in Odisha. The men & material was transported at a short notice. MCU Tambram carried out the screening, loading of entire cargo & passengers safely, the IAF said.
