Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has thanked Bollywood actor Sonu Sood for helping Odia girls stranded in Kerala to return Odisha.In a tweet, Naveen said, “Thank Bollywood actor Sonu Sood for coming forward to help #Odisha girls, stranded in Kerala during nationwide #COVID19 lockdown, to reach home safe. His humanitarian gesture is indeed commendable.”

The reel villain of Bollywood once against turned hero in real life as he helped as many as 169 Odia girls who were stranded in Ernakulam in Kerala for almost two months, following nation-wide lockdown to return to Odisha in a special flight. The migrant Odia girls landed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here today morning. The girls are reportedly belonged to Rajnagar area of Kendrapara district. Sonu Sood is helping thousands of migrant labourers to send them back to their native places.
