Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will dedicate 416 transformed high schools in five districts of the State today.
The Chief Minister will dedicate the schools in Jajpur, Gajapati, Sambalpur, Balangir and Koraput districts during the second phase of the ambitious High School Transformation Programme under the 5T initiatives of the Government.
As many as 150 schools in Jajpur, 31 schools in Gajapati, 40 schools in Sambalpur, 100 schools in Balangir and 95 schools in Koraput will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
Earlier on Wednesday, the CM dedicated 490 transformed high schools in Balasore, Puri, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur and Bhadrak districts.
A total of 2908 state-run high schools are being transformed in this phase.
The Odisha Government has taken up the transformation of the High Schools in the state under the aegis of the 5T Initiatives with an aim to transform them into world class learning centers.
In the first phase, 1070 High schools have already been transformed. The new schools have the best and most modern teaching infrastructure such as smart classrooms, e-library, reading rooms, science laboratories, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructures.
