Bhubaneswar: Fulfilling the aspirations of people of Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the first direct flight service between Bhubaneswar and Dubai at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) today.
Odisha is the first state in the country to support international air connectivity. The flights, to be operationalised by IndiGo airline, will open a whole new world of opportunities for Odias.
The Bhubaneswar-Dubai flight services will open the gateway to the Gulf, Europe, and Western countries making world tour accessible and affordable for the people of Odisha. This will open up tourism potential of Odisha and help Odia youth explore job opportunities.
The direct flight service will be available thrice a week – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The price of a ticket for the round trip has been fixed at 20,000. A one-way flight ticket will cost Rs 10,000.
