Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged the newly recruited Welfare Extension Officers (WEOs) in ST & SC Development, Minority & Backward Class Welfare Department to follow 5T mantra and make this Mantra a cardinal principle in all their lives.
Speaking at the induction programme of WEOs at the Jayadev Bhawan here, the Odisha Chief Minister said, “You must be aware of the 5T Mantra, we are following for the transformation of the State. You should follow and make the Mantra a cardinal principle in all your official work”.
Naveen also insisted the WEOs to act as ‘agents of change’ and not simply as government employees.
“Odisha is a model State in the country in carrying out many welfare programmes for citizens. Our welfare model has been appreciated and followed by other states. There is a special focus on the development and welfare of scheduled tribes, castes, backward classes and minorities. There are a host of programmes running in the state for their welfare”, the CM said.
“You should not consider yourself simply as a government employee; rather you must consider yourself as agents of change, and you are there to bring about perceptible changes in the lives of people you are working for”, Naveen stressed.
“I would expect all of you to work with complete dedication for the success of our programmes”, he added.
