Bhubaneswar: BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the Jan Sampark Padayatra in Bhubaneswar-North constituency on the concluding day of the month-long exercise here today. Senior party leaders also present on the occasion.
Thanking the members present on the occasion, Naveen said the good work done by the party and its members has helped it gain the people’s confidence and given a chance to serve them once again. I am indebted to the people of Odisha for their love and affection, Naveen added.
Speaking to the people present there, Naveen Said “Biju Janata Dal believes in Seva and Biju Babu and Bapuji’s principles are its ideology. Biju Babu was a companion of the poor people and he was with them when they needed him.
You are all aware that I have announced the Odisha – MO Parivar Program which intends to speed up afforestation, voluntary Blood Donation and helping destitute and people in need of help who are living outside. I want all my party members to actively participate in these programs and send a message of service to everyone.”
Notably, the Padayatra was supposed to end October 11 on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan, but it has been extended till October 31 following the instruction by the party president.
